Ovangkol timber specie that is also known by other names including Amazique, Amazoue and Mozambique in different regions. Its distribution is typically limited to Tropical West Africa. The Ovangkol tree is usually 100-150 ft (30-45 m) tall and has a 3-5 ft (1-1.5 m) trunk diameter. It’s yellowish to reddish-brown in color and has a straight texture.
